Thank you for your interest in the Sophia University Speech Club (official name Speech Society). We are a very new club, having been born in 2022 as an officially recognised Sophia University club. Surprisingly, Sophia University has never had a speech club. Our club focuses on oratory but also deals with debates, Model United Nations activities, etc. Most of our activities are in Japanese, but we also actively participate in English competitions several times a year. We also organise oratorical competitions for junior and senior high school students.
The Sophia University Speech Club is currently recruiting opening members. Would you like to join us in creating the atmosphere and activity policy of the oratorical club? As a newly established club, there are no unreasonable hierarchical relationships. We are aiming for fun club activities that will remain in your memories of your university days.
